MAC Frost Lipstick: Bombshell (Swatches and First Impression)

This is the first Frost MAC lipstick that I've tried. I wanted it because it looked good on one of the YouTube beauty gurus that I watch. Haha! I'll reserve my comment for later.

First Impressions:

It's very sheer and shimmery. I guess the reason why it looked so good on the guru I mentioned earlier was that it was so sheer, and what I was seeing was her natural lip color.

If you want a shade that will look like your natural lip color, only a little bit pinker and a whole lot shimmery, then this is the shade for you! However, if you are one of those who shy away from frosty lip shades, then don't bother with this one. This is the frostiest lipstick I've tried so far. Haha!

Hope you find this helpful!

Super Late SuperSale Bazaar Haul

Since I only bought a few things that I really planned to buy, I thought I'd add my sister's haul here. This entry is pretty late. We went to the bazaar on October 20, 2 days before my birthday! I got really busy after that, and didn't have a chance to blog anymore.

Anyway, here are the things my sister bought!:

Benefit Fast Train to Fabulous (2,700 Php)

She bought this from the online shop, RedGirl. Unfortunately, this set came out here in the Philippines a few DAYS after, and the official Benefit shop is selling it at 2,500 Php only. If that's not unfortunate enough, Benefit Philippines held a sale, and this was priced at 1,500 Php during the sale. :(

Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush in Natural

Physicians Formula Multi-Colored Face Powder in Beige/Warm Beige

Sadly, we didn't remember the name of the stall we bought it from. It's the one with a whole lot of drugstore makeup that are not available here in the Philippines. It instantly became my favorite stall from the SuperSale Bazaar.

For my mini haul:

Maybelline Dream Lumi Highlighting Concealer in 330

Physicians Formula Eye Booster in Ultra Black

Charm Flat Top Brush (600 Php)

These three makeup products have been used regularly after I bought it. Super sulit! The Maybelline concealer and Physicians Formula Eye liner were also bought from the unknown favorite stall, while the Charm brush was from RedGirl. Look at how dense and pretty that brush is! It is now my favorite makeup brush for foundation, powder, and over-all blending!

I also bought a pair of shorts for only 250 Php! I didn't include it anymore, since these are all makeup products.

I hope you enjoyed this super late haul!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp (Swatches and First Impression)

I know NYX's lip products are raved about on YouTube and other blogs. We don't really have it in stores here in the Philippines, so I wasn't able to try it right away.

I was really excited to try this out for the first time!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp Swatch

When worn

First Impressions:
It does go on silky and look matte, as written on the tube. I used the applicator, but I find it hard to apply evenly. After the application with the doe-foot applicator, I use my ring finger to even out the color.

After a while, the product looks dry on my lips. I found that using a clear balm on top of it would get rid of the dry look. The product deposits on my lip cracks (the lines you can see on my lips), I don't know if I just didn't moisturize my lips properly, or the product just does this. It was good for long wear, but it should constantly be evened out, or I'll have lip-crack marks.

Aside from that, I love the color I chose. I also love the texture.

Antwerp is surely an everyday color, at least for me. However, overall, I don't find this product easy to wear.

What do you think about this product? Am I the only one who feels like this?

Hope you enjoyed this entry!

New Makeup!

(picture edited through Instagram)

OMG! I finally have the Naked palette, and not just one of them!! I originally asked for Naked 2, but my boyfriend bought the original Naked palette, too! I was dying to get my hands on at least one of them! Now I have two! Yay!!

I'm also very happy to finally have the De-Slick Setting Spray. As I may have mentioned in a couple of entries, I have oily/combination skin. I've been using this for more than a week now. So far so good!

I'm still thinking whether I'm going to swatch the Naked palettes. After all, it has been raved about for many months now, and you can easily search for swatches on the internet. I may write a comparison of the two, if my schedule allows me. :)

Thanks reading!

Trying Out Nyx Products

NYX HD Eye Shadow Base, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp,
and NYX Slide On Eye Liner in Jet Black

I recently got a hold of a couple of NYX products. I may have mentioned that they don't really sell NYX products here in the Philippines, but there are a lot of Philippine online sellers that carry the brand. Needless to say it's my first time to try these products out.

I've been using these for a month now, and I'm totally loving them! My fave would be the eye liner (Slide On, Glide On, Stay On & Definitely a Turn On, Waterproof, Extreme Shine Eye Liner. Whew!). It just might be my new favorite eye liner!

I would love to do an in-depth review if I have time to do it!

I'm sorry I've been too busy! :( I took advantage of the long weekend to write this post! I also have a new post up on my personal blog, Random Rants by Thea. Feel free to take a look!

By the way, I got these products from the following online sellers:

I bought the products with my own money, and I am in no way affiliated with these sellers :)

Thanks for reading, stay tuned for my next entry in a few days!

Past Nails: A Little Bling

My sister bought this nail art kit where you get different colors of flower-shaped rhinestones. It came with nail glue (which, upon reading the ingredients I learned, is just super glue), and a wood stick for easy application. She said she bought it for us, which actually means "I'll share it with you, as long as you apply it on me". Haha!

My sister's nails:

I lost a couple of rhinestones while doing this. I don't really advise using tweezers, since it has the tendency to scratch the polish you used as base. I used the wooden stick to apply the glue on the nails, then I just placed the stone on the nails by hand. There were instances where I'd get super glue on my hands, but that happened when I placed the glue on the rhinestone first. When you apply he glue on the nail first, you provide a guide where you plan to place the stone. It's easier that way.

Nail art rhinestone kit was purchased from Watsons. I don't remember the exact price, but it is around 60-80 Php.

Hope you liked this!

Sorry for not being able to blog that much, I'm still adjusting to med school! Hope you understand! Also, I've planned to do FOTD posts, but at the age of 22, I just started having groups of pimples on my face! It's terrible! I'll reschedule that to when I don't have them anymore. I really hope that's soon.

Past Nails: Pink to Red

This was the latest nail design I used. My nails are bare right now. Not necessarily for school, but just because I lack time to do it.

What I used:
For the lightest pink I used Revlon Top Speed in Candy, which I already posted about. here. The middle pink is Dashing Diva in Prima Donna Pink, which I also posted about, here. The red one is Essie in Jelly Apple.

It's really pretty simple to do. I didn't even do the it perfectly, but I liked the final product. I just used Candy as the base color, and let it dry. I then applied Prima Donna Pink on top of Candy, on 3/4 of my nail. I added Jelly Apple on the tips, in a way that the colors have an almost equal appearance on each nail.

That's it! Hope you liked it!
